A cocktail-focused evening in Gastown
Monarca’s bar is built around agave: more than twenty tequilas and mezcals by the ounce, from Casamigos and Don Julio to Clase Azul, Bozal Tobasiche and Los Siete Misterios. Signature cocktails are poured at 2oz. The room has music all evening, with Latin music on Thursdays from 10pm and DJs on Fridays and Saturdays.

- Dressed for the Unknown: 400 Conejos mezcal, Ancho Reyes, sweet vermouth, Drambuie, whiskey-soaked cherry.
- La Conquista: Hornitos Black Barrel añejo, Licor 43, house-made lapsang tea liqueur.
- Spicy Paloma: Casamigos Blanco, jalapeño, grapefruit, lime, soda.
- Tierra del Fuego: pisco, pasilla and hibiscus, lemon, egg white.
- To share: The Skull and Quetzalcoatl, built to serve two.
- Margaritas: Monarca, Cocomint, Passionfruit and a Spicy Pineapple Mezcalita.

When the music plays
- Thursday: Provenza Thursdays. Dinner first, then Latin music takes over the room from 10pm.
- Friday: Friday Nights. Resident and guest DJs playing house and deep house as dinner turns into the night. Open until 3am.
- Saturday: Saturday Experience. The full night: dinner, DJs, bottle service and a room that runs until 3am. Book early.
For drinks with a lower soundtrack, come for happy hour (Wednesday to Sunday, 4–6pm) or on Wednesday and Sunday evenings.
