Monarca is where a Vancouver evening stays in one place. Sit down to Mexican-rooted, Pacific-fresh plates made for sharing, order from a tequila- and mezcal-led bar, and stay as the room changes around you: Latin music on Thursdays from 10pm, DJs on Fridays and Saturdays until 3am. People come for moody date nights, birthdays, group dinners before a night out and dinner and dancing.
Open Wednesday to Sunday from 4pm, with happy hour 4–6pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
Monarca is an upscale supper club at 181 Carrall Street in Gastown, Vancouver, for dinner, cocktails, music and celebrations. Dinner starts at 4pm, and later in the night the room turns into a night out, with Latin music on Thursdays and DJs on Fridays and Saturdays.
At Monarca you can have dinner and dance in the same room. Book dinner around 7–8:30pm on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. The music builds from about 10pm, and the room is open until 2am on Thursday and 3am on Friday and Saturday.
Yes, for couples who want atmosphere. It’s a dark, candlelit, jungle-draped room with shareable plates and cocktails made for two. Wednesday and Sunday are the most intimate nights.
Birthdays are the most common reason guests book Monarca. Family-style platters, shareable cocktails, sparklers and bottle service suit groups, and on weekends the DJ carries the celebration into the night. Email Reservations@monarcavancouver.ca with your date and headcount.
At Monarca the group doesn’t need a second venue: dinner continues into the night in the same room. To keep your group together late, ask about a VIP or bottle-service table.
Mexican-rooted, Pacific-fresh dishes made to share: ceviche, tuna tostadas, hand-pressed tacos, short rib with mole, steaks, a 48oz tomahawk platter and family-style platters. The bar is tequila- and mezcal-led.
Monarca is open Wednesday and Sunday 4pm–11pm, Thursday 4pm–2am, and Friday and Saturday 4pm–3am. It is closed Monday and Tuesday. Happy hour runs Wednesday to Sunday, 4–6pm.
